The second game feels a lot racier, as your map get swallowed up from a fog over time, so you are encouraged to constantly move.įor me, I prefer the first game's approach, as it allows you to experiment more and should you lose (and yes, at the start that will happen) it is a lot easier to get back into it. Another big mechanical difference is that while the first game phrases the expeditions as a race, you actually have infinite time. In the second game it is a lot more piecemeal and you do invest more time into each run. In the first game each update to your character or crew members is big and noticeable.
